Babysitting, Crèche Service and Nanny Placement Terms and Conditions

As a childcare staff placement Service, Cicciona’s does not employ the child carers it places. It keeps details of child carers and puts them in touch with clients who are seeking a child carer. Cicciona’s charge their client a fee for their services. The client then pays the placed child carer directly.

As the placed child carer is not directly employed by Cicciona’s, we are not legally responsible for the actions of the child carer and therefore we cannot cover a placed child carer for liability (insurance companies can offer a separate, specialist policy to child carers that has been specifically designed to meet their requirements).
We recommend that any child carer we place has current Public Liability insurance. We also recommend that clients check their household insurance and/or wedding insurance.

The contract is between the employer and the candidate and does not in any way affect the agency fee or Cicciona’s contract with the Family.

PLACEMENT FEE- 2 weeks gross salary (based on average earnt over 52 weeks) OR the minimum fee for a permanent nanny which is set at £275.00, whichever is the greater.

As per our terms of business, an invoice is raised on the candidate’s acceptance of an offer of employment.
All fees are payable within 7 days from the invoice date or prior to the commencement of the candidate (whichever is soonest). If the fee is not paid within the invoice period all replacement guarantees are cancelled and the full fee falls due regardless.

Activity Packs Terms and Conditions

Theses Terms and conditions are in relation to the purchase of children’s activity packs (“party boxes”) and do not, in any part, relate to any other service provided, or terms and conditions issued by Cicciona’s Ltd.

1. Validity

The terms and conditions set out below govern the sale and purchase of products from Ciccioa’s Ltd. Your agreement with these terms and conditions is confirmed by the purchase of our products. Cicciona’s Ltd reserves the right at any time to amend these terms and conditions, from which time the customer is bound by such revisions or modifications.

2. Safety

Cicciona’s Ltd takes safety issues very seriously and we only supply ‘toys’ which carry the CE mark and that are purchased from reputable wholesalers and stockist. However please note, many items such as stationery, jewellery, hair and fashion accessories are not classified as ‘toys’ and do not carry the CE mark.

Packs designed for children UNDER AGE 3 include a safety note detailing that “ADULT SUPERVISION IS REQUIRED AT ALL TIME” This must not be removed.

All our packs are sold with recommended age range reflecting the suitability of the contents (manufacturers recommendations) and complexity of the activities in the boxes. All packs are supplied with a warning note inside the bag detailing that the bag and it’s contents are unsuitable for children under 3 years. The customer, nor any other person must remove this label from the bag.
Many of our items within our box have additional labels, providing warnings, safety information and instructions for use. These must not be removed. Any injury, damage or less occurring due to any of the labels being removed is not our responsibility.

In addition, packaging, bags, tissue and gift tags are also not suitable for children under the age of 36 months. Cicciona’s Ltd accepts no liability for any injury, damage or loss that may occur due to our products having been given to anyone for whom they were unsuitable.

3. Product Descriptions

One activity box consists of one set of contents as detailed in the description text. Some individual items come in a variety of different designs which may differ slightly from that shown in the picture. We will select one at random and you may not receive the same item as illustrated. Our item descriptions always state this where applicable.

4. Substitution

In the event that one of our items is out of stock, we will endeavour to contact you as soon as possible by e-mail or telephone to offer a substitution. At this point you may ask for a full refund. If we are unable to contact you, we will proceed with the order using the most appropriate substitution possible.

5. Discounts & Pricing

We reserve the right at any time to change our pricing and discount items.

6. Payment

All prices displayed on this website are in Pounds Sterling and are inclusive of VAT and exclusive of packing and delivery.
We accept payment in one of the following ways:
By paypal
By cheque, payable to “Cicciona’s Ltd”
By BACS transfer; please contact us for details.

7. Delivery

We deliver to mainland England, Scotland and Wales . Please contact us for pricing information to other areas.
We aim to dispatch all orders within 2 working days although some may take longer. If your order is going to be significantly delayed we will let you know. Please provide the date of the celebration when placing your order; at peak times orders may be prioritised according to when they are required and not the order in which they are received.
Standard delivery charge is £5.95 using Royal Mail 48 service. – 3 – 5 delivery service or a 5 day courier service for heavier items.
Please note the standard services are not guaranteed and cannot be tracked. Delivery times are estimated and based upon data provided by Royal Mail and the courier company. Our company is not responsible for any delay, or subsequent loss, caused by late delivery of parcels sent using these services.
Guaranteed delivery and next day services are available on most items, please contact us to arrange.
We will arrange delivery of your goods using the most suitable method to the address you enter when you place your order. Please ensure that this address is correct. If goods are returned to us because a) you have entered an incorrect address; or b) you have failed to collect goods from a sorting office; or c) not responded to cards left by our courier we reserve the right to charge you for re-delivery.

If we are not notified of any inaccuracies / damage within the first 24hrs of delivery acceptance we will believe your order to be in satisfactory state and complete and no refunds will be given.

8. Refund Policy

In the unlikely event that you are not entirely happy with your order or the goods are not as requested, the wrong quantity or damaged, please contact us within 24 hours of receipt of your delivery on 07906 051684, and we will either give a full refund or make good any shortfall in the order or replace damaged goods. Any damage caused by delivery is deemed not our fault and should be taken up with the delivery company.

Should you wish to return your order for a refund, returning items is your responsibility and only once the goods are received back to us will we will issue a refund, less any postage and packing costs.

Please note we issue refunds as soon as possible. Credit cards may take up to 30 days via the credit card clearing system, which is beyond our control.

Returned goods must be received within 7 days of it’s delivery and they must be received in a resaleable condition with all component parts. Cicciona’s Ltd recommends that you use registered post or recorded delivery when returning goods and that proof of postage is retained, we cannot accept responsibility for parcels being lost by Royal Mail.

Unless you notify us within seven working days of receipt we are not obliged to accept a return of unwanted or incompatible goods.

9. Loss or Damage in Transit

If you selected Standard Royal Mail delivery we cannot track your parcel. However, we would expect it to arrive within 5 working days and therefore please notify us within 7 working days that it has not arrived. Royal Mail do not consider an item lost until 30 working days after the date of postage at which time you can contact them for compensation. If you selected one of our courier delivery options or recorded delivery and your order 07906 051684 and we will track the shipment. Should it prove to be lost we will reship as soon as possible as long as the loss has been reported within 5 days of ordering.
PLEASE NOTE, if you have asked for your order to be left safe, you are accepting responsibility of potential theft and damage and this voids any liability for us to issue a replacement or refund.

We select all the gifts for our Activity boxes by hand so that we can ensure that all of them are in perfect condition when they leave us but, in the unlikely event that your boxes are damaged, please email us within 24 hours and return the packs to us in their original packaging. We will then give you an immediate exchange or a refund.

10. Cancellations

If you change your mind you have the right to cancel your order anytime prior to its dispatch, however if the order has already been dispatched we are unable to accept any cancellations until the order has been returned to us as sent out in clause 8.

11. Privacy

Any information you provide us so that we can fulfil your order and future orders as efficiently as possible is treated as strictly private. We do not pass on or sell any information to 3rd parties. We are registered as required by the Data Protection Act 1998.

12. Intellectual property / Copyright

Our activity boxes, website, logo, text and graphics, both in full and in part remains the property of Cicciona’s Ltd and may not be stored or reproduced in any form whatsoever without the prior written consent of Cicciona’sLtd.

13. Liability

We are not liable for any loss of profit, loss of business or any other consequential, special or indirect losses, costs, expenses or other claims for compensation, whether caused by our negligence or not, in connection to the products offered for sale on this website or their use or the manner in which we have delivered our services. We are not liable to pay you any compensation other than a refund equal to the price of the products that you have paid for.

14. Governing Law

These terms & conditions and any contract arising between you and Cicciona’s Ltd are governed by English Law.
